Lyric:
DESERTED Sept. 27/84 Karl Rigelhof

Stranded on this desert isle
Not a ship in sight
We landed to rest a little while
The storm had raged all night

The boat crashed through the angry waves
And we smashed against the jagged rocks
We sank and only a few of us were saved
We thank the devil that we're still alive

To burn in this hell hole
Wasted in this desert land
It shows no sign of life
The scorching heat is hard to stand

Windstorms slice you like a knife
Not a drop of water anywhere to drink
With the glare of the burning white sun
Blinding the vision in our tired eyes

Finding the will to carry on or to lie down
And be consumed by the fire in our souls
Miraged by a desert oasis
Starvation knotting like rock(s) in our guts

Are my eyes playing tricks upon our dying faces
Or have we all finally gone nuts
(Should I stop and even wonder what)
I see a ship's sail in the distance
Or am I looking at the sun bleached bones of the dead

As I crawl my way through the sand (to the beach) with such persistence/insistence
To drown my sorrows in a sea that would wash my sins away
And make my being whole
Deserted

CHORUS:
Deserted
Strung out to die/
The pain it hurted
Deserted
Hunger, throat is dry/
Was it really worth it
Deserted
Sun burning the sand
And the flesh (off) of every man
That deserved it
