Lyric:
THE GREAT ESCAPE July 5/84 Karl Rigelhof
Contemplating life
I feel there must be something more
Than to scrape a meager existence
From the garbage scattered on the floor
Complicating life
With a tender twist of fate
To turn the whole thing into confusion
I just hope it's not too late
To make the great escape
Running around in circles
Never reaching the end
The path is hard to see
To be able to travel it depends
On what you believe
The truth you perceive
Is lost again
Confiscating life
I take from it whatever I can
Because I've given far too much
What more can I do
I am just one lonesome man
Consummating life
Happy with what it has given to me
But still questioning charity
For those who suffer needlessly
Contemplating death
I have not found the answer yet
To what will lie beyond
I only hope I will never forget
