Failed again
Can't cut through the crap
To dislocate the brain

To stimulate a response
With increased turbulence
Now I've got it
Lapse of memory

No that's not it
Looked through every
Once you've thought it
Ego's unfriendly

Tried and fought it
The game is deadly
Searched and sought it
Consequences scary

Could have caught it
Delusions buried
Neglect will rot it
The burden to carry

Radar doesn't plot it
The conclusions can't be
We need the precise
Lost for eternity coordinates

Plan the attack
Full retreat
Flashing back
Incomplete

Into the past
Humiliating defeat
To face the facts
Inconcrete

Decisive act
Forgot to delete
Retention lacks
Obligations to meet

Shielded from the blast
Our pulses beat
